This coming spring we will be giving away a free nuc filled with gentle Carniolan bees! Anyone can order but the caveat is that you have to be able to pick them up from us at our Port Orchard location listed on our website.
No purchase required! Of course, we do hope you will support our local business but that is not a requirement.
To enter, simply subscribe to our newsletter where we occasionally send helpful information about new products and special deals or announcements. Current subscribers need not signup again, you are already included. That's it! And as I always promise, we are very sensitive to spam and try to only send messages if there is real value. You can opt out any time if you wish. NOTE: after entering we send you an email to validate your email address. IF YOU DON'T GET IT please check your spam folder and whitelist our email address.
You may also puchase a nuc for the 2026 season and be entered to win that way. The choice is yours. One valid email per entry. There are many legalities to protect the consumer and you are encouraged to read the fine print below if you have questions.
All valid entries will be entered into the drawing. Duplicate emails will be discarded prior to the drawing. The drawing will be conducted by an online service in order to truly randomize the drawing. A ZOOM meeting will be set up for those who wish to watch the drawing live! Invitations to the Zoom meeting will be sent to all subscribers.

Kitsap Beekeeping Live Bee Nuc Giveaway
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Sponsor
The Kitsap Beekeeping Live Bee Nuc Giveaway (“Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by Kitsap Beekeeping (Jim Coleman Studio, LLC), located in Kitsap County, Washington (“Sponsor”).
2. Eligibility
The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of Washington State who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of Sponsor and members of their immediate family or household are not eligible. Entrants must be able to pick up the prize in person at our Port Orchard, Washington location. A valid Driver's License or state photo id is required at pickup.
3. Sweepstakes Period
The Sweepstakes begins on December 26, 2025 and ends on March 25, 2026 (“Promotion Period”).
4. How to Enter – NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
There is one free method of entry:

During the Promotion Period, entrants may complete the online entry form provided by Sponsor and sign up for Sponsor’s free email newsletter. Upon completion and email validation, the entrant will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes.
Signing up for the email newsletter is free, and entrants may unsubscribe at any time. Unsubscribing does not affect eligibility for this Sweepstakes or the chances of winning.
Limit one (1) entry per valid email address.
Purchasing a 2026 Carniolan nuc from us will also qualify you for the sweepstakes with one entry, provided your email is not already listed in the sweepstakes, as only one valid email address is allowed.
5. Prize
One (1) winner will receive:
One (1) live honey bee nuc
Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $225 USD
IMPORTANT PRIZE CONDITIONS:
Prize must be picked up in person from Kitsap Beekeeping’s shop location.
Shipping is not available for live bees.
Pickup will occur in April to May, on a date specified by Sponsor.
Winner must be able to safely transport live bees.
No cash alternative, substitution, or transfer of prize is permitted.
6. Winner Selection and Odds
One (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing conducted using an online random selection platform on March 28, 2026.
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
7. Winner Notification
The potential winner will be notified via the email address provided at entry within 1-3 days of the drawing. If the winner does not respond within 7 days, or is unable to pick up the prize as required, Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate winner.
8. Taxes
Winner is solely responsible for any applicable federal, state, or local taxes associated with receipt of the prize.
9. General Conditions
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or violates these Official Rules. Sponsor is not responsible for technical issues, lost or delayed entries, catastrophic business loss or errors in administration.
10. Privacy
Information collected from entrants is subject to Sponsor’s privacy practices and will be used for administering the Sweepstakes and for email communications. Entrants may unsubscribe from emails at any time.
11. Governing Law
This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict of law principles.
