Package bees or nucs? What's the difference? »»

These nucs (sourced locally) come with about 3-4 pounds of bees already established in a 5 frame colony with a Carniolan Queen (a hardy, gentle breed).  This small colony consists of brood in all stages of development, with pollen and honey giving it everything it needs to grow. Most importantly, our nucs are raised in the Great Northwest. The NUCs will be a Pro NUC reusable plastic NUC boxes. Pick up is generally mid-April, depending on your order date or of course the weather and growth of the bees in the Spring.

This is a pre-order for pickup here at our Port Orchard shop this spring.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Sourcing nucs costs tens of thousands of dollars up front. With our retail store opening, our reserves are drained. By ordering and reserving early, you provide us with some of the funds we need to secure the best nucs as early as possible!

Pickups will be on a first-bought, first-picked up basis, so if you want to be in the earliest pickup slot, be sure to get your paid order in right away.
If you have any concerns with your nuc please contact us within a week. After this period we can not assume responsibility regarding the state of your nuc.

Regular price: $230 (plus mesh NUC transport bag)
Introductory price: $195 - no limit, plus FREE nuc mesh transport bag

If you bought last year, you know these nucs are HEAVY and stuffed with bees, with lots of brood, drawn comb and resources!

For orders larger than five nucs, contact me and I'll see if I can give you a bit of a price break. It won't be much, because we do not make much on these.

Refunds allowed up to the point where we order bees. After that, it will be subject to a 20% restocking fee.
