Based on the Wrin hive design, this updated freestanding hive is a proven winner through summer and winter in the Pacific Northwest. It's thick-walled construction insulates through all seasons. Paired with a moisture board or quilt, a Vivaldi board and/or feeding shims, moisture and condensation is mitigated. This hive design features easy to use carrying handles that make moving the hive a snap. The entrance is small by design to help restrict robbing, and can be closed when necessary.

Additional hive entrances are standard with honey supers designed for this hive design.

Mite treatment with Formic Pro is perfect for these hives and I also include a vaporizing inlet for those with Lorob Bees oxalyic acid vaporizers. If you use a wand style, let me know at time of order and I will include a suitable vaporizing opening.
