Sugar patties can be brittle. Great care will be taken with packaging. If you open the box and find it broken in half, there's no problem. The bees don't care what it looks like.

These are great when coupled with a Vivaldi board (my personal top recommendation. Otherwise, use a feeding shim or two (available here) or simply place over the hole in your inner cover, place an empty box over the inner cover and top with your moisture quilt and hive top. There are lots of ways to use this product.

Starvation is a huge cause of hive loss, particularly in early Spring when most of the stores have been consumed but the bees are trapped inside by changing weather patterns.
